Actor Danny Trejo is launching his own comic book, Year of the Devil, and today I'm sitting down with co-creators comics writer Chris Yates and award-winning transmedia creator Keith Arem of PCB Entertainment panel plunging the Aztec mythology, biblical prophecy, and supernatural horror behind this exciting new five-issue crowdfunding graphic novel series.
We cover the Massacre of Toxcatl, the Siege of Tenochtitlan, protagonist Diego de Rojas's reincarnation curse, the Biblical Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse showing up to wreak shop, and how Danny Trejo's real-life lineage shaped the story's origin.
