Comics writer Pornsak Pichetshote (Absolute Green Arrow) returns to the show to talk about his new Tiny Onion/Image Comics project Exquisite Corpses: The Lone Gunman. We take a panel plunge recapping Laura's story after the tragedy in Oak Valley and where she is now, delve into this spin on the final girl trope, and take a look at the conspiracy tied to the original thirteen families from Season One. We also touch on why The Lone Gunman plays more like a conspiracy thriller than a straight backstory book, how Laura handles duty and trauma when she can't afford to be passive in the mini-series, how the Exquisite Corpses writers' room changed the way Pornsak writes comics, compare and contrast DC's Absolute Universe with creator-owned horror, talk about the development of his blog Day 2, and look ahead to Absolute Green Arrow and Absolute Black Canary. We'll see if my suggestion for the inclusion of Washington's Barista makes it into Season Two. Exquisite Corpses: The Lone Gunman hits shelves on November 4th, 2026.
From the publisher In this can’t-miss follow-up to the first EXQUISITE CORPSES series, Laura and her fellow survivors, Xavi and Jason, have attempted to carve out an existence with her winnings, far away from the evil machinations of the 13 Families. Now, the legacy of the golden mask refuses to stay silent…and their lives are in danger once again. Uncover the history of the Lone Gunmen and find out what’s next for EXQUISITE CORPSES from breakout star PORNSAK PICHETSHOTE (Absolute Green Arrow), and acclaimed creators ALBERTO PONTICELLI (Unknown Soldier), JORDIE BELLAIRE (Absolute Wonder Woman), and BECCA CAREY (RADIANT BLACK)!
